With 26 students and 15 students on the waiting list, Construction Industry Training Council of Washington held its first class in 1985.

Since then, it has  grown into a state-licensed, nationally accredited, construction training program for beginning and advanced construction professionals.

CITC serves more than 1,200 apprenticeship and classroom training students, 8,000 continuing education students, and over 150 students take part in its commercial, industrial, pipeline, and supervisory skills assessments and performance verifications.
